Catalogue of en event considered as the international rendezvous-vous of video art. Saint-Gervais is organizing a week of meetings of the best video professionals, from Geneva or elsewhere. The best in the field of electronic images will be crowned by a jury with the awarding of the "Grand Prix of the City". We are no longer dealing with the phenomenon of live television which enables us to be present at the place where the birth of the image is formed. We are, thanks to the changing electronic images, inside the creation of synthetic images with the help of computers. This video creation offers us moments which our imagination has not yet whilst sharing with us the pleasure of discovery. By quantifying images into pixels, video art now has potential for treating creative information which enables it to tackle unknown themes and to navigate together with contemporary art.
