On Translation: Go Round

The three videos show the slow movement of people in a certain specific place. For instance, On Translation: Listening shows people who are continuously talking on their cell phones on a balcony. On Translation: Go Round shows people who are going out through a revolving door. At On Translation: On View, we see silhouettes of people who are passing by and of others who are staring at things outside of a huge window. Their use of space provokes movement. Interestingly, these images are more than mere images, they are observations that reveal how the artist translates the environment of our lives surrounded by new media.
