Lo que la exposición Nuevos Mundos Nuevos más nos sugiere trata de imaginación, de la intuición y de algunas virtudes y habilidades humanas que anteceden cualquier invención o descubrimiento. Estén ellas contenidas en aquello que se inventa o en aquello que se descubre, nuestro foco recaerá en el modo en el que algunos artistas exploran el mundo nuevo en resultados o procesos de creación.

Proyecto Tierra quiere transformar el nuevo edificio de Alhóndiga Bilbao en un "mercado de intercambio de ideas" y dotar a este espacio público de una identidad, de una función social real, a través del valor que otorga a las tres tipologías y a sus funciones: el trueque como transacción original en el mercado, la palabra como vehículo del diálogo en la plaza y el ritual del juego en el frontón.

Con la curatoría de la académica española Anna María Guasch, el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes presenta la exhibición La Memoria del OTRO, en la que nueve realizadores extranjeros presentan video-ensayos y video-instalaciones, que en el contexto de la globalización, aluden a problemáticas referentes a lo identitario. La muestra, que estará abierta entre el 29 de abril y el 20 de junio en la Sala Matta, cuenta con la colaboración de cinco instituciones españolas, entre ellas, el Instituto Ramón Llull y la Seacex.

Este proyecto fue galardonado con el Premio ACCA de la Crítica de Arte a la mejor exposición de arte contemporáneo 2011. 

The exhibition addressed the artistic reflection on the use of the mass-media television from the 1960s to the 1980s. Works highlighting the growing social significance along with the economic, technological and social mechanisms of the medium were presented within the exhibition architecture designed by Julie Ault and Martin Beck.

Volume Collection presents a group of contemporary artists whose artistic concepts are presented/realized in the form of a book - be it the printed book in form of the book - object, video, web art, performance, action, photography or conceptual painting. Artistic practices presented in this project communicate from a very particular standpoint. They are critically engaged in respect to the dominant political and economic order of contemporary societies and in respect to global market systems and art theories. 

Archives and data banks are primarily determined by these gaps and silent documents. As Sven Spieker notes, "Archives are less concerned with memory than with the necessity to discard, erase, eliminate." Creating archives is continual selection. As such, it reveals the priorities and blind spots of the keeper of the archives, his world and his time.

The "Lives and Works in Istanbul" project was introduced as one of these means of encounter at the highest level of contemporary art by the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency, Visual Arts Directorate. The aim was to create a dialogue and production between a selected group of senior artists from EU countries, representing different artistic curricular, and a group of artists from Turkey. The project also put to the test whether or not Istanbul is truly a source of inspiration and a city that is attractive to international artists.
