Walls of Air explores several ways in which to read, challenge and transgress material and immaterial boundaries in Brazil. As it investigates different types of “walls”, it also represents an exercise in examining the borders between architecture and other disciplines. Originally curated for the Brazilian Pavilion at the 16th International Architecture la Biennale di Venezia, the exhibition presents 17 architectural and urban projects selected from a public open call.

The Pedro Oliveira Gallery is for the first time presenting a solo exhibition by Antoni Muntadas, in which the artist is showing the series Portrait, Meetings and other works on paper.

L'eix central de la nova presentació de la Col·lecció MACBA gravitava entorn del canvi de paradigma que es produeix en l'àmbit artístic a mitjans dels seixanta i que s'estén fins a l'actualitat. Si els relats dominants fins aleshores havien advocat per la centralitat de la visió com a sistema pur de recepció, en aquesta etapa es comença a reivindicar l'estructura lingüística del fet artístic.
