Els límits del museu va constituir un assaig de qüestionament col·lectiu del significat i les realitzacions del museu dins el món occidental, i també del procés de transformació que l’afecta. El museu, tal com nosaltres l’entenem, està arribant a la seva fi? S’ha perpetuat més enllà de les seves definicions, des del classicisme fins a la postmodernitat? I, si és així, com evolucionarà en el futur?

In the 20th century, art was crossed with cinema, with television and with informatics in its virtual reality version. The firs of these invented the effect of reality, the second the live phenomenon, the third interactivity. Their "systematic age" and their order of appearance on the stage had, and are still having, a dominant influence and different effects on the plastic arts. These three areas structure the Biennale. 

Catalogo de "Beyond the bridge", exposición que tiene como elemento central la confrontación entre viejo y nuevo. Una confrontación que representa inspiración y innovación. El viejo -pero los tiempos de innovación- están utilizados para crear nuevas y sorprendentes relaciones. La vida es la conexión de elementos que se pueden arreglar en un orden diferente y único para y por todos. La pregunta es: ¿qué piensan los artistas contemporáneos ?

 "Imagined City" is an exhibition that stemmed from the interest in situating the Brasilia project whiten the scope of the modern theories of urbanism, art and architecture of this century and in questioning the consequences that ensued its creation. Modern cities are always built in a planned fashion by dint of the historic and economic constraints of contemporary world. The first part of the exhibition brings together vast material on literature, cinema, architecture, cartoon strips and plastic arts.

Recull d'alguns artistes catalans, que han assolit un merescut prestigi en els paisos on viuen, perquè poguessin rebre, també, el reconeixement del públic Català. Concretament, TRANSTERRATS és una exposició de nova creació que presenta l'obra d'una vintena d'artistes catalans que viuen des de fa anys a l'estranger i on la seva trajectòria artística és considerada molt important. 

DESMONTAJE reúne más de 70 obras de diversos autores y diversas procedencias, indistintamente realizadas en film o en vídeo. La mezcla indiscriminada de ambos soportes permite que el programa recorra distintos temas y enfoques mediante senderos afines y que se bifurcan.

"El teléfono y la fotografía" es una exposición que tiene como objetivo rejuvenecer su la Colección Artística de su Fundación, eligiendo dos temas: la técnica y la comunicación. Se trata de enseñar un nuevo medio de expresión que mantiene un lenguaje familiar, la fotografía, con un tema entrañable, íntimo: la comunicación y consecuentemente con ella, el teléfono.

"New York: Nomadic Design" is an exhibition that affirms the crossover as it confirms basic categories: first, established as well as new designers and the studios that produce industrial, graphic, furnishing, interior, and urban/landscape design; second, New York guerrilla design, the often but not always anonymous design on New York's streets, mostly in its poor and/or ethnic neighborhoods. Depicted chiefly as a sub-text here, the second shows the influence of popular culture and suggests connections and manners from the street that affect all New York.

 "Images puor la lutte contre le sida" es una exposición dedicada a la lucha contra la SIDA, para oponerse a las formas de exclusiones de la gente que está afectada por esta enfermedad. El objetivo es contribuir a la prevención, a través de 37 obras de artistas  de diferentes culturas que han investigado sobre el tema, interpretándolo. Se comparten testimonio, ideas y emociones que representan un valor añadido a la lucha contra la ignorancia y el olvido de una urgencia como la SIDA.
