"Imagined City" is an exhibition that stemmed from the interest in situating the Brasilia project whiten the scope of the modern theories of urbanism, art and architecture of this century and in questioning the consequences that ensued its creation. Modern cities are always built in a planned fashion by dint of the historic and economic constraints of contemporary world. The first part of the exhibition brings together vast material on literature, cinema, architecture, cartoon strips and plastic arts. The second part shows works by 36 artists, architects and authors who were invited to imagine a city of their own.
